Inauguration is on 8.30 am on 25th March-2010

First round will be held on 9am on 25th March, 2010

* Number of round may change depending upon the number of participants. However such changes will be informed by chief arbiter before the commencement of first round

Category: There will be two categories. Pawn group for bellow 11 years players and Bishop for bellow 16 years players.

Prizes: There will be 5 main prizes for each group along with number of consolation prizes. If a player becomes eligible for more than one prize he will be given higher prizes only. No prize money will be shared.

Eligibility: For Pawn Group players born or after 24th March, 1999 and for Bishop Group players born or after 24th March, 1994 will be eligible. Proper birth certificate must be attached with entry form. Entry form must be filled up clearly and legibly in block letters. Incomplete entry will be rejected summarily. Organizer reserves the rights of rejecting any entry without assigning any reason.

Entry fee: Rupees 250/-(Rupees Two hundred fifty). Entry Fee should be paid by cash at P.C. Borooah Chess Academy or by demand draft payable at Guwahati favouring P.C. Borooah Educational and Charitable Society. Entry forms should reach the following address along with properly filled up form on or before 22nd March 2010.

Last Date of Entry: 23rd March-2010, however entry will be accepted till 3pm 24th March with a late fine of Rupees 50. No entry will be accepted after 24th March.

System of Play: The tournament will be held in Swiss league system in two categories.

Time control: One hour thirty minutes for entire game with no increment.

Walk Over: Half an hour will walk over time.

Tie- Break: In case of ties, latest tie break system of FIDE will be applied.

Chess board and Chess Clock: Participants are required to bring their own board and chess clock.

Accommodation: Outstation Players has to arrange accommodation on their own.

All the participants will get participation certificate.

Decision of Chief arbiter will be final and binding to all.

 

* Any change of the rule regarding timing, walk over or any other rule will be announced by Chief Arbiter before commencement of 1st round.
